Here's a newer poem. it is actually a small piece of a book I'm working on. Book doesn't have a solid title yet, neither does the poem, but the chapter the poem starts is called The Worst Situations, The Best Lessons? enjoy.
I don’t need this. But I want it so bad.
I can’t have it… Can I?
Not for long, at least.
You can’t stand to see me not sad; not on the brink
Of the self destruction that we both know is not possible.
I was doing everything right. I did everything that you said you wanted.
All for nothing.
I was happy, she was happy, and so was he. So what?
You don’t learn from the happy times.
Well my friend I learned fast and I learned well,
So I hope that you’re ready, because I’m coming fast.
My life was made a hell, and when mine is over you’ll see
That I’ll make yours that way as well.
